The approach

I believe fitness should add to your life, not take it over.

I’m here to encourage you, support you and, when you need it, give you a bit of a push - but never to judge you.

There’s no expectation that you’ll train every day, eat perfectly or completely change your life overnight. We’ll focus on what works for you, your lifestyle and what you can realistically keep doing.

Some days you’ll smash it. Some days just showing up will be enough. Both count.

My approach is practical, inclusive and focused on progress you can actually sustain.

No judgement. No perfection. Just keep moving forward.

Fitness shouldn’t be a chore

Meet Lucie, the founder of SSP

I didn’t grow up loving exercise. In fact, I didn’t really start exercising until I was 30.

At the time, I was a size 18, eating badly and drinking rather a lot of lager. When my nephew was born, something shifted. I wanted to make some changes - and that was really where my relationship with fitness began.

Since then, I’ve probably explored both ends of the spectrum.

At 37, I took things to the extreme and entered a bikini competition. At 43, I started playing rugby. And at 45, I entered my first strongwoman competition.

Along the way, I’ve learned a lot about training, nutrition and what our bodies are capable of - but I’ve also learned that I don’t want fitness to consume my life.

I still like a drink. I eat crisps. I enjoy myself. And I firmly believe all of those things can have a place alongside being fit, strong and healthy.

I’m also proud to say I’m not one of those bum-lifting-leggings-wearing fitness influencers trying to convince you that I wake up every morning looking fabulous, drink something green and live a perfectly disciplined life.

I don’t.

What you will get from me is someone who understands that real life can be messy. Someone who’ll encourage you, challenge you when you need it and never judge you because Tuesday didn’t quite go to plan.

I have a silly sense of humour, an unnecessarily wide selection of laughs and I don’t take myself too seriously.

I take you and your goals seriously, though.

That’s what Squeeze Squat Press is about: finding a way to be fitter, stronger and healthier that still leaves plenty of room for you to enjoy your life.

Why SSP?

Because getting fitter shouldn’t mean giving up everything you enjoy.

SSP is for real people with real lives — people who want to feel stronger, move more and look after themselves without fitness becoming another full-time job.

You won’t find extreme diets, intimidating workouts or pressure to be perfect here.

You will find encouragement, accountability, plenty of laughs and a realistic approach to making progress.

Come as you are. Do what you can. Keep showing up.

Strong doesn’t have to look a certain way.

Not a hardcore gym brand.

Not a weight-loss club.

Not a high-maintenance online community. SSP sits between live, friendly fitness and practical behaviour change.
